In our monthly recaps, we keep you informed about every step we take month after month. We had to do a lot of cleaning up for the latest features that we have been working on. You are a great guy! This has been in use for the past few days. I cannot tell you how much manual labor it saves us. My project managers and my team are so excited about the change. People who had previously tracked time classified individual time records as either billable or not-billable. It’s a flexible system that can be adjusted to suit your needs, but it adds an unnecessary burden to people. These changes give project leaders control over what is billable and not, so that other team members don’t have to worry. Once expense tracking, budget, and time tracking are enabled, you can choose their default value. This means that they can be billable. You can also specify who can change this for tasks, time records, and expenses. Clients do not have access to these options and cannot edit them. However, you can also define who will be able to change it for tasks, time records, expenses, etc. It can be easily changed! The same settings as for the role permissions are available here. Only Owners and Project leaders can change the billable status. Other Members will not be able to see the checkbox. Each time record will take over the billable status of their parent task or project, so you don’t have to think about it. This is why we invested in this feature. Times are hard! Every hour and every penny counts. You will be able to keep a tighter grip on what is billable so that you don’t let any billable hours slip by your fingers. Although a few checkboxes here or there may seem like a small thing, it will help you keep track of what’s billable and prevent you from letting any unpaid hours slip by your fingers. Windows: Ctrl+Enter; Mac: Cmd+Enter. Or click anywhere in the field to save your changes. To cancel, press Escape. It’s that simple. Here you can also see how many hours were spent on a task. Click on the link to see all time records. View, but not edit, the system will remember if the description field was hidden, or shown, when you tracked time. This field is not automatically displayed for teams that don’t add descriptions. For those teams that add descriptions, it’s not a problem. The description field will be displayed (or not) depending on how you left the field the last time you tracked time on tasks. It’s easy to use the keyboard You can track your time by using the New Time Record button. Simply start typing project and task names and then use the keyboard to navigate through the list. Then, click Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or Cmd+Enter on Mac to submit the form. We’d love to hear about your experience and will continue to improve it.
