Dialogue,New Media Publishing’s digital arm, was created to support existing digital platforms and roll out new projects. We realized we needed a workflow solution that would allow us to deliver work faster, within budget, and maintain quality standards. So we started looking for an online workflow tool that could meet all our needs. To test their features, I created trial accounts on Producteev and MeisterTask, Trello and Asana. To test their features, I set up trial accounts on MeisterTask, Trello, Asana, ActiveCollab, and Trello to see what they were like. We’ve been active ever since.From a process and productivity perspective, this is why I love ActiveCollab:Reviewing resources – ActiveCollab’s workload reporting view shows you who’s busy on what and where you need to lighten or increase the workload – all at a glance. This information can be used to alert scrum masters to potential bottlenecks and help them redistribute resources. Tracking targets – All quotes are loaded onto ActiveCollab as cost estimates. The cost estimate view displays how the business is performing against targets. The cost estimate view shows sent estimates (pipeline), won estimations (done deals), and lost. The future metric is determined by comparing lost to won. It is easy to see how the team members are tracking their time. This allows you to easily compare the ‘hours estimated’ and ‘hours logged. Tasks can be broken down into smaller chunks. It is easy to compare tasks completed and open tasks. ActiveCollab support team is very responsive and keeps us informed about new features, fixes, and upgrades.
